Our business started by ( Baker Taha) under the name of (Mala Baker Shop) 1962-1981, selling screws and manufacturing a full set of machines’ washer set, pressing different types of hoses, and selling the spare parts of trucks and construction and tractor machinery.
The work location started in Khanzad street near the old gas station of Erbil, which was later converted to (Sheikh Mustafa) mosque beside the truck parking area.
Hayaf Baker started the work in 1968 and continues. Later in 1981, the business was relocated and transferred to the north industrial zone on Salahaddin–Shaqlawa highway, and our operations are still active there.
Later we started manufacturing ball bearing grease, thermal grease, and clamp sets and truck bodies.
We were manufacturing the screws that were not commercially available in the 80s and 90s since then Kurdistan Region and Iraq were under international sanctions. We placed machine torna on manufacturing the needed tools.
The Iraqi government imposed economic sanctions on the Kurdistan Region in 1993; thus, we imported our tools and equipment from (Syria, Turkey, and Iran) until 2003 when the government was ousted.
In 2000, Muhammed Hayaf Baker started working up to date.
We expanded operations by selling lifting tools such as (Chains, pulling wires, and lifting necessities). We started selling washing machines belts and worked so until 2008.

After 2008, when the Kurdistan Region became an open area for the outside world and the resurrection of the economic sector and industry, we started trading heavy tools and equipment such as the wholesale of different hoses. (Hydraulic hose and high-pressure hydraulic hoses and water, gas, benzene, asphalt hoses, and various types of fittings along with lifting requirements such as steel wires, pulling wire and lifting belts.

In late 2016, we established AlHayaf company for general trading limited and developed our business in Kurdistan and the region.
We have been operating since 1962 and up to date.
